Decision to suspend club activities.
The proposal was put to the club following a dismal run on the stockmarket that has seen some of our stocks lose more than 50% in value and a number of club meetings wherethe club had money to spend but nobody could put forawrd a realistic stock to suggest the club purchased.
What this means is that club members will suspend paying into the club for a period of 6 months and our portfolio will be frozen. At the end of the 6 months we will review the situation and take another vote.
If however a club member wishes to alter the situation (i.e the stockmarket makes a remarkable recovery), an EGM can be called
Those club members not in agreement with the proposal were given the option to resign for the club and sadly we lost 2 members who felt the value of the portfolio would be less still in 6 months time.
